Planting of the Autumn Flowering bulbs
…ah, it’s been a while since I last began a post with that lead-in, pinched rather blatantly from Justin Hayward’s “Forever Autumn” and yes, this is my favourite time of year!
So for the first time ever, I managed to procure some bulbs which ‘should’ flower before November…I’m not that confident as that’s really not far away now, but we’ll see.
Colchicum Autumnale Album | 3 |
Colchicum Dick Trotter | 1 |
Crocus Sativus (Saffron) | 15 |
Crocus Speciosus | 15 |
These have been planted facing east, on the Eastern Border (facing the ‘Manner House’) so as to get early morning sun and so that I can see them from inside the living room – sat on the couch if I’m lucky!
